Visits Worth Taking

Here are two sites worth visiting today.   I am usually not one that posts sites to visit but both of these really held a message for me:

The first one is Lyrics and Maladies  - an incredible piece there called Dones Capped - I  love all of Joaquin’s work , but this piece really hit me in the heart and from the comments left there I can see I am not the only one.

The second site is Just Writing Words - and to tell you the truth I never viewed this site before today, but with the three pieces on the front page I was greatly impressed and personally love the poem titled Torn.  Most of us have had our souls battered or bruised at sometime in our life and this piece seemed to sum up that experience for me.

    You are welcome Lissa
    - the poem has a call of desperation and so often a soul goes unheard by all of those surrounding it and in the end falls into the acceptance of pain. These are the shy souls that cry out for help and far to often are not heard. I do not know if that is what you meant in writing but that is the message that hit my heart – and it is a good reminder to aware of unheard.

I often wonder about interpretations and what people will read into my work but I think you caught what I was writing about – for me, “Torn” is about someone who can’t get their words out even with so much to say and that she could only find comfort inside herself

      thanks for reading
