something less than purple
August 26, 2009
something less purple
more like a violet with not so much red
darker than just a hint of blue; but a shade sharper
than rose with a smidgen of aqua
you know that color the one that makes you wish
for the rainbow’s end -
but not purple, but something like it
without the “my favorite color is Purple”
yes, purple with a palatable name
tell me, what is that color?

i am lover of all purple! What is that veggie? It looks very good. The verse kept me questioning all the way to the end. Liking the change in this place :0)

thanks d and yette, I like the change too, it was time to clean up and put on a fresh face.
I believe the veggie is somekind of eggplant(not sure). I like purple but not a lover – I have worked with women who do everything in purple and it was making me a little insane to say the least. But to those who love the color enjoy –

maybe it is purp – a bit less than purple.
i love “you know that color the one that makes you wish
for the rainbow’s end” – where every color is – beautiful!

this is beautiful… and the veggies… with finding out about being allergic to wheat, i have a new affection for veggies, and purple happens to be my favorite color.
we really ought to chat sometime, have wondered how you are…

Umm…what a lovely color to feast upon and a royal color at that. Surely it deserves a noble name. Although, I do like the way pur-ple purrs off my lips, all pure and perfect.

thank you, thank you, joaquin, cindy and karen – it is amazing how everyone differs in their view of this color from purp – to perfect – it is probably the color that recieves the most conversation. personally, i can only take it as an accent color – it has its charm and whimsical nature;royal and worthy it is, and all the subjects shouted, “here, here.”
all this purp-le talk makes me hungry for Eggplant.

This was intriguing. And I used to appreciate purple, especially with yellow, kind of fun, but then worked in a garden centre and had to wear and breathe and live it.
So I need a break from purple, unless it almost grape jelly purple and that is the colour of my daughter’s room and with black and white is fabulous.

deb thanks for stopping in
- grape jelly purple, now that is one that I have forgotten about. my daughter had a purple room when she was young with a rainbow bedspread and canopy – it was delightful.
but I agree, a little purple can go a long way, but when added it is a focal point of attention.

It is the color of morning by the sea. And sometimes night, falling.
