namib-desert-v-982

Words dry,

Offerings of lifeless desert

Scraping a brittle, fragile parchment

A pen that thirsts for renewal, thirsts for ink

Under a thief disguised as a sun god

Clothed in garments of wind and sand

Covered with past promise – flowing words;

Lost,

Before written, before heard

Who will hear their cry? The Words —

From where will the oasis come?

A dream longs for life water; pearls

from a sea left for dead

Shall the firebird come – Unaccompanied?

Let us pray ….
